Fire Safety Awareness Day

  • Date: 11 June 2026

  • Location: Dr JS Moroka Fire Station, Vaalbank

SIZABANTU Day Care Centre believes in teaching children important life skills from an early age. During our Fire Safety Awareness Day, children visited the Dr JS Moroka Fire Station to learn about fire prevention and emergency safety.

The visit helped children understand:

  • Why they should never play with fire or matches

  • How to recognize fire and smoke dangers

  • What to do during a fire emergency

  • How firefighters help protect communities

  • Basic fire safety and evacuation awareness

The experience was both educational and exciting, giving children the opportunity to meet firefighters, explore fire-fighting equipment, and learn valuable safety lessons that can help keep them and their families safe.
